then took away any chance we could afford them

And they denounced all that's different with pride and patriotism
waving flags and singing loud our anthem

Then they took the right to question away from journalism
so the message isn't lost in adverse opinions

They nailed jesus like a scarecrow at the front of every classroom
to scare the kids into doing what they want to do

Then they tore out all the pages of genocide and racists
so we won't despise the people that created us
